Owner-operators and small fleets

Everything except the driving.

Backup Logistics dispatches for owner-operators and small fleets across all 48 contiguous states. We find the load, negotiate the rate, file the paperwork and answer the phone when you call.

Every photograph on this page is one of our own loads, taken on the job. No stock trucks.

What running with us looks like

  • Consistent freight

A steady stream of loads across all 48 states. You stop hunting for the next one, because we are already looking for it while you are still running the current load.

  • Competitive rates

We negotiate on your behalf and turn down the loads that do not pay. Our fee is a percentage of your rate, so nobody in this office benefits from you hauling cheap.

  • 24/7 dispatch support

Whether it is two in the morning or noon on a Sunday, a dispatcher picks up. Sitting on detention at a closed gate is not a voicemail problem.

  • Quick pay available

Options to get paid sooner instead of waiting out standard terms, so fuel, tires and payroll are not sitting behind somebody else's accounting calendar.

  • Paperwork handled

Rate confirmations, bills of lading and invoicing are ours to chase. The administrative load stays off your dashboard and you keep driving.

  • Dedicated lanes

Prefer running the same route every week? We set up dedicated lanes for carriers who want a predictable week and a fair idea of where they sleep on Friday.

We never force dispatch.

Every load we bring you is an offer, not an instruction. You can turn one down for any reason, or for no reason you feel like sharing, and it changes nothing: not your standing with us, not the loads we bring you next, not your rate.

We will never book a load in your name or commit you to a broker without your agreement to that load, at that rate. You are an independent carrier, not an employee, and our fee is a percentage of what you earn. A load you do not want to run is a load neither of us should be running.

Nothing goes on your truck until you say yes

You see the lane, the shipper and the rate before anything is confirmed. Your dispatch percentage is set during onboarding, written into the agreement you sign along with the payment schedule, and it does not change without a new agreement.

If something about it does not sit right, call 609-609-3148 and talk it through with a dispatcher before you sign anything.

Onboarding takes about ten minutes

Three documents and a few questions about how you run. You sign the dispatch agreement at the end of it, and then we start looking for your first load.

Not ready to sign anything yet?

Send the short version instead. Tell us who you are and how you run, and a dispatcher will call you. No agreement, no signature, nothing binding.
